January 2012

Blackout Ltd has appointed experienced rigger Nick Brown as a new project manager, further reinforcing its capabilities for high-profile events across the globe.

The appointment follows an increase in rigging-specific jobs, supplying a wide variety of sporting, cultural, broadcast and music events.

Nick has worked within the event production industry for over two decades, starting in theatres and moving onto world class events including the Millennium Dome launch and 2004 Athens Olympics. Prior to his permanent appointment, Nick worked with Blackout on a freelance basis for projects including the 2011 MTV EMA and WRG’s World Petroleum Conference in Dohar in December.

Steve Tuck, Blackout chairman, said: “Nick is well known to us and our clients and will bring a wealth of experience to our ever-expanding team. His appointment is the first step in an exciting year for Blackout.”

Nick said: “Blackout is highly respected within the live events industry and I am very excited to be joining the team and working on such a wide variety of projects. We aim to continue expanding on the company’s core rigging services and deliver the high quality service Blackout’s clients expect.”
