Blackout Drapes BRIT Awards in Gold March 2008
London, UK, 31 March 2008 - For this year's British Record Industry Trust (BRIT) Awards 2008, held in association with MasterCard, Blackout working for MJK Productions, provided the backdrop to give an opulent feel to the award’s, from main stage to backstage and party space. The star and artist studded ceremony was hosted by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne at Earls Court in London on 20 February.

Artistic autumn for Blackout November 2007

Blackout frames Bat for Lashes at Koko's October 2007
Blackout used white coloured cut-up drapes to create a frame round the main stage for the Bat for Lashes' gigs at London's Koko Club. Bat for Lashes, aka Natasha Khan and supporting band, sold out at twice at Koko's, on 28 and 29 October, 2007.
Blackout drapes on European tour with GHD Hair October 2007
Blackout's drapes provided the backdrop for GHD's European promotional tour in October. Working with Mark Bonner at Delta Sound, Blackout provided black voile drapes and solenoid kabukis* to reveal the stage and back wall during performances.
Blackout's French brothel wows Diesel:U:Music Awards October 2007
Blackout worked with Remedy Productions to create the set for this year's Diesel-U-Music Awards and aftershow party, held at London's Koko Club on 3 October and described as a 'riotous affair'. The event was recorded and broadcast on Channel 4 on 21 October.

Blackout makes the most of roof space with new gabled truss August 2007
London, 23 August 2007 - Blackout, supplier of drapes, starcloth, track and rigging, is delighted to announce that it has developed a new variation of gabled truss, designed to allow users to make the most use of space inside temporary structures. The new product was used for the first time this year at Grant & Anthea's Summer Ball in a marquee at their home in Surrey in mid-July, and Blackout is confident there will be many more applications in the months and years to come.
NEC selects Blackout for BT UK Global Services sales conference August 2007
London, 17 August 2007 - For around 1,800 BT sales executives at BT UK Global Services annual UK sales conference in July, The NEC in Birmingham called upon Blackout to provide 1,500 metres of long drop black-wool-serge drape, 2,000 metres of trussing, install the roof points and rig 200 motors through Halls, 10, 11 and 12.
