Blackout carries a large range of trusses for all applications and weight loadings. All truss systems are complemented with an assortment of corner blocks and junctions to enable flown or ground supported structures to be assembled.

Gabled Truss
|
Blackout has a new variation of gabled truss that's designed to allow users to make the most use of space inside temporary structures.
The ground support truss system followed the sloping roof line of the temporary structure as well as sufficiently supporting lighting and sound loads while not intruding on the space below. It can go right up into the apex of any interior space, such as marquees or converted barns and warehouses.
This in turn gives event designers many more options in terms of where they position lighting, loudspeakers etc.
In building the structures, Blackout uses custom corner blocks with their stock of Thomas 52cm Super-truss and, with the aid of some simple masking, the truss all but disappears.

Thomas 52cm General Purpose Truss
|
52cm GP truss manufactured from 6082-T6 Aluminium and sections are joined using standard truss bolts and nuts. The truss is suitable for the majority of lighting applications, flying PA and any general purpose use. It can be used as a ground support system by incorporating suitable sleeve blocks.

Prolyte H30V box

239mm x 239mm square truss manufactured from 6082-T6 Aluminium in a variety of modular length sections. Sections are joined with a conical coupling system (CCS6) allows for fast, efficient and highly aesthetic assembly of permanent and temporary structures. As with the other trusses a wide variety of corner joining blocks are available to create grid like structures and ground supported systems.

Slick Minibeam
|
Minibeam is a small, medium weight rectangular trussing system using high grade 6082-T6 aluminium alloy. Minibeam employs the copyrighted, forkend fitting joint, which is quick and easy to connect with the use of Slick truss pins and carries a 3:1 safety factor. Blackout carries a range of modular lengths from 1' to 12' with a range of corner blocks to create grid systems or ground supported structures. Minibeam has an impressive strength to weight ratio, being able to typically take 1200kg uniform load on a 10m span, and with its modular sizes can be easily managed, useful when truck space is tight.

Slick Litebeam
|
Litebeam is a small, lightweight triangular trussing system using high grade 6082-T6 aluminium alloy. Litebeam is quick and easy to put together due to the taper fitting system, which forms a neat and rigid joint and combines exceptional loading capacity for its size with a 3:1 safety rating. Blackout also carries a large variety of corner blocks, from two, three and four ways, to horizontal and vertical types, to swivel corners to meet most requirements.

Total Medium Duty Circles 52cm (triangular)

Blackout also carries a range of total fabrication and Tomcat medium duty truss circles from 5m through to 12m. All circles are triangular truss measuring 520mm from outside cord to outside cord. With all sections joining with standard truss bolts and nuts. Straight sections are also available in the same dimension, which can enable shapes to be created. With special corner blocks the circles can be ground supported.
